Because I wasn't alive at the time, it's hard for me even comprehend how awesome that "landing on the moon" experience must have been to witness. Growing up in the 80's, 90's, 00's - we really have not had many positive television events like this. (see: Challenger, Endeavor, OJ, Rodney King, 911, et al.) I'm certain great things happen every day somewhere - we just don't hear about it. It also doesn't generate the add revenue as those stories that divide us - it's sad. I think we are starving for a moment like this that could bring us all together again. Anyway, all this thinking of the moon makes me think of this great tune by The Police - recorded live in Atlanta, GA during their 1983 Synchronicity tour. My sister Kimmy witnessed this in Rochester, NY. Lucky.
